In April of this year, we put together an emergency fund for first responders who were affected by COVID-19. Our goal was to provide them and their loved ones with tangible services such as sanitizing their homes before they returned from the hospital, provided meal services, recovery baskets, and care baskets for loved ones.
Because of the generosity of VFIS of Texas, we were able to provide many more services than we had hoped for. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity in partnering with us to care for those who are serving on the front-lines.
We know that this time is filled with uncertainty, overwhelm, and anxiety. It is our hope to continue to offer services and resources to serve our law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS professionals, and 911 telecommunicators until this situation is resolved.
