Getting Started

Customize your Facebook fundraising page. If you haven't already, you can upload a photo, write a story about why you're participating and more. This is your online donation home to share your story and track donations. Need a graphic or two for your campaign? Click Here.

Make first donation. A great way to kick off your fundraiser is to make the first contribution yourself. Let everyone know you're off and running and encourage others to match your donation.

Ask. Contact everyone you know, such as family, friends, co-workers, neighbors and social media connections. You never know who is willing to contribute unless you ask. You can text, email, call, mail or share online. If you've participated before, reach out to previous donors and ask them to donate again.

Hi [Name],

I just created a Facebook Fundraiser for my (insert name of event). The event benefits the Texas LODD Task Force. Did you know that the Task Force provides all of their support services and programs at no cost to the first responder agency or their family? That's why they need your help to ensure every Texas first responder and their loved ones continues to receive the excellent and dignified care they need and deserve. I'm excited to be raising money, and a gift from you would make it possible for the Task Force to continue their mission of caring for Texas first responders that are faced with crisis, injury, or death.

Subject: Update on My Task Force Fundraiser

Hi [Name],

I'm still raising money for my Texas LODD Task Force Facebook fundraiser. Every donation counts no matter how small, so I hope you can support my efforts. By raising money we're helping the Task Force provide crisis intervention, at-need services, long-term care, education programs, and much more. With a donation, you'll be a part of that.
